50kg Fertilizer Bag Automatic Palletizing Solution
Project Name: Automation of Fertilizer Bag Palletizing
Service customer: South American Fertilizer Factory
Background
The South American client's fertilizer factory mainly produces granular fertilizers, compound fertilizers and other products. The weight of a single bag can reach 50kg, and some of the fertilizer raw materials are prone to volatile irritating gases and contain corrosive components.
Under the traditional manual palletizing mode, factories are confronted with production predicaments under high risks and heavy burdens.
Challenge
1. Fertilizer raw materials are prone to volatile and irritating gases, and some categories contain corrosive components. Manual stacking poses a high risk.
2. The product is heavy (50kg per bag), and manual palletizing is demanding and inefficient, which slows down the logistics turnover speed during the peak season.
RBTC Solution
RBTC offers customized material palletizing automation solutions for the demands of "heavy load, high risk, and strong adaptability", with the core consisting of three parts:
1. Hardware selection: High-load heavy-duty six-axis palletizing robots are selected, equipped with anti-corrosion coated robot arms and anti-slip and wear-resistant grippers, which can directly contact fertilizer packaging bags. Equipped with a 3D vision positioning system, it can automatically identify the position deviation of packaging bags (accurately correct within ±5mm), and adapt to the irregular shape when fertilizer bags are stacked.
2. Process connection optimization: The palletizing robots are seamlessly integrated with fertilizer production lines and belt conveyor lines, facilitating the transportation of products from offline, grasping, palletizing to pallets to the storage area, achieving efficient turnover.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the project, RBTC arranged for engineers to go to the customer's site for installation and commissioning. They made on-site adjustments to the voltage issues at the customer's site to guarantee the stable operation of the equipment.
Project achievements
1. Dual breakthroughs in efficiency and turnover: Robots operate continuously for 24 hours, reducing the turnover cycle of fertilizers from production to storage to 1.2 hours. The problem of goods overstocking during peak seasons has been completely solved, and the response speed of export orders has been improved.
2. Safety and reduced labor costs: 80% of manual palletizing positions have been replaced, and workers no longer need to come into direct contact with corrosive and irritating products. The number of safety accidents has sharply decreased, and the employee turnover rate has dropped.
